Pai Gow Poker
The Paigow Poker is played with a deck of 52 cards plus one joker.
The player places a bet on the table, then the dealer deals 7 cards each, the player’s cards are visible, while the dealer’s cards are currently not covered. The player must make two poker hands, the first of five cards is called a high hand, the second of two cards is called a low hand.
Obviously the goal is to get two hands stronger of the two hands of the bench. To determine which hand is the strongest one based on conventional poker rules.
In a low hand the highest hand is a pair of Aces in one high hand, but the hand is unbeatable is made of 5 Aces, as well as four Aces and a Joker.
Here in detail the various possible hands from the strongest to the weakest:
Four aces + Joker A, A, A, A, Joker
Royal Flush A, K, Q, J and 10 of the same suit
Flush Five cards of same suit in sequence.
Poker Four cards of the same numerical value.
Full Three of a kind + a pair.
Color Five cards of same suit in sequence.
Three of a kind Three cards of the same numerical value.
Two Pair Two different pairs.
A Pair Two cards of the same numerical value.
High Card No combination. The highest card, ranked in order from highest to lowest: A, K, Q, J, 10 …
The Joker can be used only as an Ace or any card to complete a straight, flush, straight flush or royal flush. It cannot therefore be used to complete a pair or a three of a kind.
When you form the two hands, the high hand must always be the strongest. You cannot for example have a pair in low hand and nothing in the high end. After forming his own hands the dealer does the same with his cards and the results are compared.
To win the betting, both hands must be stronger than the dealer. If one of your hands is a strong but is weaker or of the same value, the hand is a draw, and your bet is returned. If your two hands are identical to those of the dealer, you lose.
Comparing the two high hands or two low hands are identical, the hand containing the highest card will be considered successful. If after comparing the two hands they are still the same, the hands are treated as copies and the dealer wins.
Every time a player wins a hand is paid the winnings minus 5% commission for the dealer.
